June 1st Here We Come!

Wednesday was my last official doctors appointment before the arrival of our little guy on June 1st. Everything was normal and not much new to report. All is proceeding as it should. I still feel really good and have been very blessed. I was able to go to field day at school on Thursday & coach first base at Sydney's baseball game. The only major change is my feet are swelling some with it being late in pregnancy & being hot. She felt sure I would be able to make it til Monday.

I am not sure what time everything will happen on Monday. Unfortunately, I will not know my "scheduled" time til after 3pm on Sunday. I say scheduled because of course if there is some emergency at the hospital it may change things. Not alot of help when you are trying to plan what to do with your other child. If I am the first one scheduled I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am. Holy crap!!!!

I have one more non-stress test for Saturday morning. As long as that goes well all should stay the same. I cannot believe how fast the time has gone.

Soon we will be a family of four.

Happy 16th Anniversary To Me!!!

Well along with everything else going on within our little family Steve & I are celebrating our 16th Anniversary today. Yeah us!!! It is hard to believe it has been that long. Getting married as young as we were I am very proud to say I love him just as much today. Probably more if that is possible.
As we begin a new chapter in our life with the upcoming arrival of our second child I hope for many many more years together.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKIE!!!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Hope you have a great day!!

Just so happens that Sydney had to do a Venn Diagram at school. I am not sure if you know what that is or not. You take 3 circles. They are overlapped. The part that is overlapped is the similarities. Then on each side is a list for her & the third list is Jackie.

Sydney-young

Syd & Aunt Jackie- crazy & likes crafts

Aunt Jackie- old

Sorry Aunt Jackie you are officially old!

LOVE YA!!!!

Rock A Bye Baby

So when your pregnant you have the opportunity to sign up for weekly e-mails on development. Of course this leads to a bunch of other things where you get info on new products. Well I got one the other day that was totally up my alley. If you know anything about my daughter she loves music and will air guitar & play drums to anything. Just ask her Aunt Jackie who was witness to it when we visited her in New York. It is craziness! So I got an e-mail on this really neat site.

The RockABye Baby site sells music from rock artists that has been changed into music for babies. They use mellotrons, vibraphones & bells. Of course I was very excited to see that they had AC/DC & Green Day. When I started looking at the list which I still have not made it through because I have to stop and listen. Some of them are Beatles, Rolling Stones, Queen, Coldplay, Ramones, Cure, Metallica, Bob Marley, & even Nine Inch Nails. I must admit some that I have listened to it is hard to tell which song it is. Some of the AC/DC & Green Day I could tell right away & got a huge laugh. Especially, Rock N Roll Ain't Noise Pollution by AC/DC & Boulevard of Broken dreams by Green Day. I recognized more on Green Day. My dog was totally intrigued also with his head stuck in the laptop.

I just listened to Queen very funny!!
Here is the site. If you are looking for a different gift this might be the way to go rather than with a traditional lullaby cd.

A House Divided

As you have seen from some of the posts Steve & Sydney have a disagreement when it somes to favorite football teams. Steve has been a Washington Redskins fan since before I met him. He takes alot a grief from the family and friends about it. Sydney has taken to pulling for the Pittsburgh Steelers which fits into our locale.

We have received some gifts with the new baby coming. One was for Sydney its is from her Grandma Worthington. She had it made for her. Of course Syd was pretty stoked.

After Steve seen this his comments were that the baby will not wear any Steeler garb and will only wear Redskins. So save your money people.

Luckily, we also received a oneies which was favorable to Steve's team. Jackie also sent a Redskins sleeper for when he is older. (I would post a pic but it is under things I cannot lift.)

Should be interesting as the baby gets older!

Sydney's New Hairdo

Well we finally done it. We tried something different then her bob hairdo. Normally this time of year we just go really short. As she takes after Steve and gets really warm. In the summer becomes miserable and not fun to be around especially at bedtime. I had been noticing when we dried her hair the hair underneath was curly. So we decided to cut it into long layers and thin it out. Now when she wakes up she has Farrah Fawcett curls in her Angel days.

So we will see. So far she likes it. Who knows when it gets really hot.

Field Trip To The Zoo

A few Thursdays ago was the field trip for the second grade at Shannock Elementary. They go to the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium. This amounted to 2 very loud school buses, 60 kids, & about 14 chaperones. It was a big debate as to whether I should go on the trip being 35 weeks pregnant. With the go ahead from my doctor on Wednesday I was ready to go. I was told to drink plenty of water. Great extra water and I already have to go to the bathroom all the time.

Sydney's second grade class.
Of course the kids were all hyped up even the ones that had been there before. If you have not been to the zoo in Pittsburgh it is really nice. It ranks in the top 3 for zoos in the country for kids. Amazingly enough it is about 3 miles from downtown Pittsburgh. When you enter you ride this very very steep escalator up to the top of the hill and start your zoo experience.
We were able to get quite a few good photos of the animals. Some only wanted to show us there backsides. Which of course to a bunch of 8 year olds was hysterical!

This guy is always ready to pose for a picture.
The Polar Bears were not cooperating today. I don't think Syd will ever see them in the water. But the guy below was having a blast in his water area!

Last year the zoo had 2 elephant calves & baby otters. We got to see one elephant calf she was quite active and came right up front.
All we got to see of the otters were their backsides hanging out of the log. Again with the backsides.

A snack before the ride home.
Fun was had by all and everyone returned to school safely. They have announced that one of the seals is now pregnant so I guess that will be the next trip to the zoo.

Baby Update

Just thought I would give an update on how things were with the baby. Yes, I refer to him as baby because we have yet to decide on a name. Don't worry we are working on it.Eventually, one will come to us. Hopefully, before he is born. As of this past Sunday I am 35 weeks along. Hard to believe that I only have a little over a month away.

Today Steve & I went to the hospital to have an ultrasound done. Incase you don't remember these were scheduled because the baby was measuring big. I knew from the measurement my doctor took last week I was still measuring large on the outside. After the lady was done with all her measurements of his head, femur & abdomen she pointed to the monitor. Imagine my surprise when I read he was measuring the size of a 38 week old baby & his weight is about 7lbs & 4oz. Everything is measuring proportionally so that is good. My level of fluid is good. So that was good news also.

I have to go to the doctor weekly now since it is getting closer to my due date. I have an appointment there on Wednesday so well will see what they say then.
